While our suspension base formula remains consistent and is always sourced from the same trusted manufacturer, slight variations in appearance may occur between batches. Some batches may have a more noticeable violet tint, which is most visible in the bottle or container. Once pigments or glitter are added, the base will appear clear.
The violet hue comes from Violet #2, an additive used to counteract yellowing over time. This variation in tint is related to the regional source of the cellulose used in the formula. Some cellulose types are more prone to yellowing, requiring more Violet #2, while others resist yellowing naturally, resulting in a more visible violet tone.
