Kindly note, Our suspension base, although it is always the same formula, sourced from the same manufacturer, can have a batch to batch difference in appearance. Some batches have more of a Violet hue than others. The color difference is most noticeable in the bottle or jug it came in. The base will still look clear when you mix your glitter or pigments with it.
Suspension base has violet #2 added to counteract yellowing that occurs over time. The visible color variation from batch to batch is due to what part of the world the cellulose to make the base is sourced from. Some cellulose causes the yellowing to appear quicker, so with the addition of Violet #2 it balances the color and becomes almost clear. Other sources of cellulose hold the natural color longer, so the Violet #2 is more pronounced.
Our suspension bases are '21-Free', Vegan and Cruelty Free. (Note, no changes have been made to the formula, its always been 21 Free)
'21-Free' means there is no animal products, toluene, benzene, xylene, formaldehyde releaser, formaldehyde resin, phtalates, cyclic silicones, camphor, MEK, glycol ethers of series E, HQ, MEHQ, TPP, nonylphenol ethoxylated, Tert-Butyl hydroperoxyde, chromium oxide greens, bismuth oxychloride, CMR, synthetic fragrance, ethyl tosylamide.
